What is the difference between an ECG Holter monitor and a standard ECG?
A standard ECG records your heart activity for a few seconds, while an ECG Holter monitor records continuously over a longer period. This makes it more likely to catch an arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm) as this may happen sporadically.
Is there a waiting list?
Currently there is no waiting list. In most cases, your monitor can be dispatched within a couple of days.
How much does a Holter monitor cost?
The Holter monitor price depends on the monitoring duration and service selected. Please contact us for current pricing.
What is included in the Holter monitor price?
The price includes monitor delivery and return post, ECG recording, cardiac physiologist analysis and consultant cardiologist reporting.
When would I need a 7-day or longer heart monitor?
Can I buy a Holter monitor?

Do I need a GP referral?
No. Patients can book directly with us and reports will be sent to their doctor.
Can I shower while wearing the monitor?
Yes. The monitor is splash resistant, but swimming and bathing should be avoided.
Can I continue normal activities while wearing the monitor?
